How to make delicious breakfast porridge

This is my porridge recipe for one person.
Half cup of quick oats
Half cup rice milk 
Half cup soy milk
1 teaspoon brown sugar
3 dates.
Chop the dates, and mix everything together in a saucepan, it's good to let it sit for a little while
If you can, then simmer on a low heat for several minutes while stirring with spoon till milk
heats up. Let sit for several minutes, then serve. This is a dairy free recipe. I use half soy half rice milk
because all rice milk just doesn't taste nice, or all soy milk is too much soy for me, cause I end up
Drinking too much between soy in my coffee and teas.
